M1 category of vehicles shall be defined as: vehicle for transporting passengers with no more than 8 seats (except a driver's seat).
M1 category automobile requires auto inspection (tech inspection) after four years from the release (issue) date and then every two years. It needs annually inspection after 8 years from the release date.
In case the M1 category automobile is used as a taxi or emergency car, the inspection should be performed after one year from the release date and then once a year.
The cost of tech inspection of the M1 category automobile is 60 GEL, the booking fee is 1 GEL.
M2 category vehicle - automobiles used for passenger transportation, with more than 8 seats (except a driver's seat).
Inspection should be performed after one year from the release date and then once a year and after four year from the release date every two year.
M3 category vehicle - automobiles with motors used for passenger transportation, with more than 8 seats (except a driver's seat).
Inspection should be performed after one year from the release date and every year and after four year from the release date twice a year.
N1 vehicles with motors permitted to carry goods no more than 3,500 kg of maximum weight and having not less than four wheels, except of agricultural cars for the purpose of transporting and tractors. At least four year after the release date and then annually
N2; N3 vehicles with motors permitted to carry goods, with a maximum weight of more than 3500 kg.
