Evaluation of mandatory periodic technical inspection reform

On May 28, the organization of “Georgian Alliance for Safe Roads” and the project of “Civil Society Development and Citizen Involvement” (East-West Management Institute, ACCESS)  presented the survey results with the support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), which was about the process monitoring of mandatory periodic tech inspection (PTI) of vehicles.  

The conference included the summarizing of the core findings of the second stage of the current testing of monitoring process in Tbilisi and regions. It contains the legislative framework for the March-May period for 2019 year, statistical data, enforcement mechanisms and other researches about other relevant information, as well as observation on inspection process, questioning the customers of PTI centers, in-depth interview and focus groups.
